Darren Benitez was out getting the “milk and cereal” while Moke Boy Kamealoha and Ricky Boy Tataipu passed the time by doing falsetto renderings in the lobby of the Hilton Kaua‘i Beach Resort Saturday moring. They were coming off the Kaua‘i Falsetto competition that took place at the Hilton Friday night and were en route to perform at the Ho‘olaulea at Kukui Grove.
Meanwhile, hats off to Heather Hopkins (Amber Hopkins found a corner in the volunteer hospitality suite a perfect spot for watching DVDs) and her committee on doing a great job with the Bone & Joint Wellness meeting. Dr. Timothy Schendel was able to do the football game Friday night and still make the meeting on time. Same with Kaua‘i High School team manager Ashley Furumoto who was at the Hilton meeting with the Red Raider Health Academy.
Tyrus Ceria-Lux played the whole game Friday and still made it to one of the early AYSO games where he refereed one of the Under 10 games … Tom Clements had the right idea: Golden Arches for breakfast! Of course, Shaggy had to wait until after the game to enjoy his.
Jane Garma was concerned about the grass at North Vidinha (she was not the only one), and Bill and Blanche Arakaki got to enjoy the morning sun and watch the game.
Kevin Matsunaga has some nice non-video equipment as well, but had to figure out how to get to Kalaheo for his next game.
OK, ‘nuff said … time to check out the Island School shooters at the re-scheduled air rifle match with Kapa‘a.
