Rosalie Cecil of ‘Oma‘o died Aug. 5, 2007, at home.
Born July 31, 1921, in Texas, she was a retired teacher and artist.
She is survived by sons Kenneth (Susie) Purdy and Richard Purdy; sisters Margaret Gilbert and Nita Adams; grandchildren Caitlin O’Connor Purdy and Justin Boe.
Private services took place.

Rosario M. Anguay
Rosario M. Anguay of Kilauea, died July 31, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 81.
Born Feb. 26, 1926, in Hawai‘i, she was a bus driver.
She is survived by husband William Anguay of Kapa‘a; sons Lloyd (Cissy) Bond of O‘ahu, Steven Bond, Dennis (Susan) Apilado and Jimmy Apilado, all of Kaua‘i daughters Shirley (Jordan Sr.) Kahananui, Barbara (Joseph Jr.) Nakamura and Joann (Wade) Apilado Murabayashi, all of Kaua‘i; stepson Nathan Anguay of O‘ahu; hanai daughter Maria Apilado Berdon of Hilo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins Thursday.
Clarence Luczon Jr.
Clarence Keoki Norton Luczon Jr. of Kapa‘a, died July 27, 2007, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 14.
Born Feb. 22, 1993, in Lihu‘e, he was a student.
Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Gregory “Kila” Sanay Sr., Norma Sanay, Lambert Paaoao Sr. and Tutu Helen Miles (Paaoao), he is survived by his father Clarence (Pua) Luczon Sr., mother Elizabeth “Nani” (Cory) Sanay-Pa‘aoao (Moritsugu); two sisters Ashlyn (Alan) Luczon (Carbonell), Chanlyn Luczon, god-brother Gage “Bubu” Paku; niece (who was the apple of his eye) Aaliyah-Feigh Carabonell; paternal grandparents Julian (Viviana “Mimi”) Luczon Sr., maternal grandmother Pearl Paaoao, paternal great-grandmother Saturnina Cabinatan, girlfriend Shelby Martinez; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Friends can visit with the family from 6 p.m. to 9 pm. Friday, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests casual attire.

Terry Lewis
Terry Joseph Lewis, of Kailua-Kona, died July 26, 2007, at Kona Community Hospital at the age of 55.
Born Dec. 24, 1951, in Los Banos, Calif., he was self-employed.
A service will be held in Kailua-Kona.
He is survived by his wife Pohai Abihai of Kailua-Kona; sons Sky Lewis of Kailua-Kona, and Anthony Lewis of Kailua-Kona; daughters Christee Lewis of Kailua-Kona, Randi (Bulla) Tayamen of Lihu‘e; seven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Cremation Services of West Hawai‘i.
Thomas Babauta Sr.
Thomas Santos Babauta Sr. of Kapahi, died July 28, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 70.
Born April 8, 1937, in Guam, he was a bartender.
Preceded in death by son Michael Babauta, he is survived by his wife Jolynn Worthington Babauta of Kapahi; two sons Robert Babauta and Thomas (Raquel) Babauta Jr., six grandchildren Amber, Brandasia, Taryn, Brandon, Jesse and Keilana; two great-grandsons Raymond and Blake; sisters Clotilde (Wayne) Colton of Florida, Hermina Garrido of California, Hazel (Ron) Hite of Arkansas, Lucille (John) McLean of Guam and Florence (Harold) Daniels of New Mexico; brother Jesus Sablan of Russia; nephews, nieces, sisters and brothers-in-law; and mother-in-law: Jennis Christian.

Victoria Bengoian
Victoria “Vicki” Bengoian of Lihu‘e, died Aug. 9, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 88.
Born Nov. 23, 1918, in Springfield, Mass., she was an accomplished seamstress and crafted dolls and quilts. She was owner and founder of Vicki’s Restaurant and also Vicki’s Bakery.
Preceded in death by her husband Siragan Bengoian, she is survived by daughters Rose Bengian and Dottie (John) Ouligian; sister-in-law Jean Kezerian, brother Thomas Kezerian; numerous nieces and nephews; and caregivers Marino Domingo and Domi Robles.
Friends can visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Lihu‘e, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Hospice of Kaua‘i.

Marcial J. Samiano
Marcial J. Samiano of Honolulu, and formerly of Kaua‘i, died Aug. 7, 2007, at St. Francis Hospice at the age of 66.
Born June 30, 1941, in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired program analyst from Getty Oil Co. and an active member of the Kalakaua Gym Ohana.
Preceded in death by his father Jose Samiano Sr., he is survived by his wife Emily Samiano, sons Father Marvin Samiano and Ron (Divine) Samiano); mother Salud Samiano; brothers Jose (Virginia) Samiano, Dante (Mary) Samiano, Rudy (Kathy) Samiano, and Melvn (Constance) Samiano; sisters Carmen (Richard) Ubasa, Evelyn (Marcelino) Taroc, and Celia Iloreta Ramirez; two grandchildren, numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Friends can visit with the family at 9 a.m. Thursday, at Co-Cathedral of St Theresa Church in Honolulu, where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.
Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
