Therese Jasper was able to connect with a distant cousin, thanks to the Internet. Back in June, Jennifer Brumfiel e-mailed asking the whereabouts of Therese after reading about her in an article.

Hats off to Kaua‘i High School AD Ross Shimabukuro and Red Raiders’ coach Rich Roberts for doing such a bang-up job with the tournament … Shelton Tang is amazing with what he can do with all the high tech stuff, and even Charlene Quinones dropped in to check out the games. Pat Viernes wants to see Vista Murrieta, but got to see a great game with Notre Dame out of San Jose, Calif.
Jocelyn Abreu and her son Waylon finally got their house! Congratulations to Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity’s Stephen Spears, Amy Hill, Nicole Jacintho, Bob McNamara, Gwen Holi and Cindy Johnson for a great home dedication ceremony … Kiana Kawamura was even passing out programs in front of her new home. Congratulations to ALL the new home-owners — it’s a great feeling!
OK, ‘nuff said … off to check on Eric Nordmeier and find out more about diabetes before checking on the championships at the Kaua‘i Challenge, and congratulations to Ron Wiley for 40 years on the radio!
