The man arrested for second-degree attempted murder on Kapuna Road in Waipake, Saturday was arraigned yesterday in court.
Benjamin Todd Beaty, 42, allegedly stabbed another man this weekend after an altercation with another man camping in a tent near his own.
Police arrested Beaty around 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning after receiving a call to the area.
The man who was stabbed has improved since he was airlifted from Wilcox Hospital to Queens Medical Center on O‘ahu Sunday, however, he remains in “critical” condition, Mary Daubert, county spokeswoman, said.
Beaty’s bail was originally set at $100,000 but was later reduced to $20,000.
He is scheduled to appear in court for his preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday.
