Qi Gong Grandmaster Hong presents two free lectures to demonstrate a 5,000-year-old natural health care system using traditional Chinese remedies, natural foods, recipes and Qi Gong exercises for greater health, reduced stress and increased vitality.
The presentations are from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Koloa Neighborhood Center and Friday at the Qi Center in Lihu‘e.
The evening experience includes Grandmaster Hong emitting external qi to participants attending the lecture and a demonstration of Qi Gong exercises for self-healing and rejuvenation, according to a press release.
One of just a few Qi Gong Grandmasters in the United States, Hong is the only one with a center on Kaua‘i, the release states. He has reached the highest attainable level in Qi Gong of over 35 years and has also mastered the seven systems of Qi Gong, which include healing, intelligence, self-healing, martial arts, herbology, spiritual practices and special abilities. In addition, he is a master of 18 modalities of natural healing. The Hawai‘i state Legislature has proclaimed him a “Living Treasure.”
Trained in China as a physician in Western medicine, Grandmaster Hong’s background includes researching, independently and in affiliation with National Institute of Health and National Cancer Institute, as well as teaching and publishing.
Hong is the founder of the nonprofit Qi Center in Lihu’e which conducts classes, with many provided free of charge, offering natural healing education for those suffering from asthma, allergies, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, in addition to helping those who wish to simply retain their good health and longevity. Over 4,000 people on Kaua‘i have received free humanitarian services from the organization.
There will also be a rejuvenation Qi Gong workshop with the grandmaster on March 31 and April 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rejuvenation series has shown documented effects on persons challenged by diabetes, heart, and other medical conditions, the release states. The effect on the hormonal system has led some individuals to report the reversal of menopause, strengthening of the bones and joints, a return to earlier sexual functioning and improvements of other long-term conditions. The series provide tools to help prevent and stave off the aging process and reduce pressure. The practice is simple and seasoned seniors can do the practice with ease. The greater degree of balance achieved, the greater the degree of longevity enjoyed, the release states.
