Being its 30th anniversary, the celebration will not be old and outdated, but packed full of fun activities for both adults and children.
There will be many different booths during the evening that will suit any mood.
Growing up on the island, I have been to the Waimea Town Celebration during the evening, and it is a blast.
Many different clubs and businesses host food booths alongside a variety of game tents for the keiki that can keep them busy for hours.
There will also be a few different inflatables, like sumo wrestling for the older kids and some carnival rides for the younger ones.
With live music throughout the night it creates a nice comfortable feeling.
Tomorrow bands such as Los Kauainos (5 p.m.), Kawao (6:50 p.m.), Ho‘aikane (8:20 p.m.) and Natural Vibrations from (10:05 p.m. to 11:35 p.m.) will keep the crowd entertained and dancing.
The Waimea Town Celebration is a place for family and friends to kick back, relax and enjoy a festival truly unique to Kaua‘i.
Events will start today at 4:30 p.m. and tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Old Waimea Sugar Mill.
