Fanny Leilani Medeiros
Fanny Leilani Medeiros of ‘Ele‘ele, died Jan. 29, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77.
Born May 29, 1929, in Hawai‘i, she was an accountant.
Preceded in death by her husband Gabriel Medeiros Jr., she is survived by three sons, Russell Medeiros, Wayne (Manu) Medeiros and Randall (Gayl) Medeiros; daughter Phyllis Santa Ana; brother Daniel Peters Jr.; sister Linda Kaiakapu; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from noon to 12:45 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 3, at ‘Ele‘ele Sacred Hearts Church, where Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m.
Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Josefina Visitacion Ariola
Josefina Visitacion Ariola of Puhi and Aiea, O‘ahu, died Jan. 28, 2007, at Queen’s Hospital at the age of 61.
Born Jan. 4, 1946, in the Philippines, she worked in housekeeping.
She is survived by two daughters, Lani (Reuel “Bruce”) Wong and Pualani Ariola; one granddaughter Raychelle K. Ariola Balaan; seven brothers, Alejandrino (Flora) Visitacion, Quirino Visitacion, Ernesto (Letty) Visitacion, Oscar Visitacion, Juan Visitacion, Orlando (Cynthia) Visitacion and Nelson Visitacion; one sister, Zeny (Wil) Arengo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel where prayer services will be celebrated at 7 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Luke Keola Ichiyama
Luke Keola Ichiyama of Kealia died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 25, 2007, at the age of 25. He was born in Anahola on June 4, 1981, and was employed as a master diver with Sea Sport Divers.
He is survived by his wife Christina Ichiyama of Kealia; parents Roy and Lisa Ichiyama of Fiji; brother Adam Ichiyama of Kekaha; grandparents Howard and Jan Smith; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 3, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kapa‘a with visitation from 11 a.m. and services beginning at noon.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
