The first race of the 2007 Kaua‘i MX Super Race Series at the Wailua track is set for Jan. 14.
The eight-race series will be run by the Kaua‘i Motocross Association and will continue through November.
All races are scheduled to be run at the Wailua Motocross Track, the old Marine camp located south of the Wailua Golf Course.
Following the Jan. 14 opener, other scheduled race dates are Feb. 4, March 11, April 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 16, Oct. 14 and Nov. 10-11.
Fliers announcing the 2007 Kaua‘i MX Super Race Series will be posted at motorcycle, automotive and other related establishments around the island.
Race entry forms are available at S&S Speed Shop, Suzuki Kaua‘i and Two Wheels. Additionally, forms are available on the Kaua‘i Motocross Association Web site at www.kmxa.org.
The Kaua‘i Motocross Association is a new nonprofit created to ensure that motocross, dirt bike and ATV racing is operated in a safe, fun and fair manner for all residents and visitors to enjoy.
Ron Victorino Jr., the organization’s president, is an avid rider, along with his family.
Victorino’s vision and attitude is to make motocross safe on Kaua‘i so families can enjoy fun and safe competition.
