Joseph Rapozo
Joseph Rapozo of Anahola died Oct. 28, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 70.
Born March 17, 1936, in Honolulu, he retired as an employee with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources’ Parks Division.
He is survived by daughter Janelle L. Rapozo of Hanama‘ulu; sons Joseph “Big Joe” Rapozo of Anahola, Chad (Teri) Rapozo of Anahola, Clete “Kalani” Rapozo of Anahola and Ryan “Kalei” Rapozo of Hilo; sisters Alice “Cissy” Dabin of Kapa‘a, Amelia (Tony) Dias of Kona, and Wanda Nohea Siitani of Honolulu; hanai sister Phyllis Haleakala Goias of Kapa‘a; brother George “Keoki” (Lani) Rapozo of Anahola; mother-in-law Mary Napoleon of Kapa‘a; wife Lorraine Alejo Rapozo of Anahola; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a where Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. by Father Al. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Richard Patrick Corr
Richard Patrick Corr, Sr. of Hanapepe Valley died Oct.15, 2006, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 62.
Born Oct. 26, 1943, in Waimea, he was a retired mason and taro farmer.
Preceded in death by his mother May Corr and father James Corr Sr., sister Goldie Mae Kahale, and brother James Corr Jr., he is survived by his wife Wanda Corr; sons Richard (Cayley Hargreaves) Corr Jr. of Kalaheo and Tyson Corr of Nevada; daughters Corrine (Jay) Murata of Lihu‘e, Pua (Patrick Rita) Corr of Kalaheo, U‘ilani (Joshua Yorkman) Corr of Kekaha and Jolene Corr of Hanapepe.
He is also survived by brothers Charles (Jean) Corr of Texas, John (Sandy) Corr of California, Wilfred Kualii (Patricia) of Puhi; sisters Barbara Velasquez of Utah, Colleen (Lawrence) Okamoto of Kekaha, Aletha (Dexter Nishi) Matsusaka of Waimea; hanai brother George (Mary Ann) Makanui Jr. of California, hanai sister Lorraine Makanui-Hemmings of Utah; grandchildren Austin, Bryson, Jenna, Kyron Lei Pua, Jaycie, Waika and Tevai; mother-in-law Yoshiko Shigematsu; brothers-in-law Ricky (Lori) Shigematsu, Clyde (Alison) Shigematsu; sisters-in-law Karen (Miles) Tone, Lisa (Blaine) Dela Cruz, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Kalaheo Church of Latter-day Saints on Saturday, Nov. 4. Friends may visit with family members from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will be officiated by BIshop Myron Barino at 11:15 a.m. Ashes will be scattered at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Mililani Memorial Mortuary on O‘ahu.
Joseph Price
Joseph “Joey” Dwain Price died on Oct. 31, 2006, surrounded by family at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.
He is survived by his bride of 54 years, Mary Ann Price; son Joseph Parker (Penny) Price; daughters Martha Jo (Stan) Krenek, Stephanie Ann (Calvin) Mikeska and Lorre Jane (Bill) Bethke; sisters Barbara (Chuck) Basham and Jane (John Joe) Cato; grandchildren Kindal Ann (William) Johnson, Stacey Ann Mikeska, Michelle Ashlee Price, Gregory Dwain (Tiffany) Price Jr, London Taylor Price, China Li Price; and great grandchildren Anna Isabella Fernandez and William Wyatt Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Gregory Dwain Price, father Joseph William Price, and mother Rudy Ethel (Chilcoat) Price.
Joseph built many family memories in Florida, Nicaragua, Texas, and Kaua‘i over the past 30 years.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Anahola Baptist Church, service officiated by Rev. Ed Terui will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a life celebration party at Aliomanu Estates. Casual attire is suggested.
