Barbara Jean Saturnino
Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Saturnino of Kapa‘a died on Oct. 21, 2006 at the age of 59.
Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu on Oct. 4, 1947, she was a station manager with Kilauea Super Service.
She is survived by her mother, Maria Esperenza Leong of Kapa‘a; brother, Jerold (Patricia) Saturnino of Kapa‘a; two sisters, Norma V. (Ken) Anderson of Arizona and Patricia Leong of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; with service at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Scattering will be held at a later date. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Luisa G. Enriques
Luisa G. Enriques of Kapa‘a died Oct. 30, 2006 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 94.
Born Aug. 26, 1912 in the Philippines, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by children Lawrence Enriques, William Enriques, Enri (Gene) Aceret, Helen (Ben) Eleno, Eva (Herbert) Yaka and Clory Luka; two sisters and one brother; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a, where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Al.
Burial to follow at St. Catherine Church Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Laurence R. Scott
Laurence R. “Larry” Scott of Salem, Ore., and formerly of Kaua‘i, died Oct. 29, 2006, after a six-year battle with brain cancer at the age of 72.
Born Oct. 11, 1934, in Altadena, Calif., he served in the Army during the Korean War and was an executive with U.S. Divers Corp from 1956 to 1968. An avid diver most of his life, he worked under Jacques Cousteau. He and his wife, Theresa Crooks, lived on Kaua‘i, where he was a general contractor and built nearly 40 homes, from 1974 to 1990, when the family relocated to Pacific City, Ore. until his retirement in 2000, when they moved to Salem.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Scott, daughters Megan and Monica (Aaron) Fiedler, one grandson, step-father Dr. John B. Dillon and mother-in-law Doris L. Crooks, as well as many other friends and family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, at City View Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by City View Funeral Home.
Joseph Rapozo
Joseph Rapozo of Anahola died Oct. 28, 2006 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 70.
Born March 17, 1936, in Honolulu, he was a truck driver for the County of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by daughter Janelle L. Rapozo of Hanama‘ulu; sons Joseph “Big Joe” Rapozo of Anahola, Chad (Teri) Rapozo of Anahola, Clete “Kalani” Rapozo of Anahola and Ryan “Kalei” Rapozo of Hilo; sisters Alice “Cissy” Dabin of Kapa‘a, Amelia (Tony) Dias of Kona and Wanda Nohea Siitani of Honolulu; hanai sister Phyllis Haleakala Goias of Kapa‘a; brother George “Keoki” (Lani) Rapozo of Anahola; mother-in-law Mary Napoleon of Kapa‘a; wife Lorraine Alejo Rapozo of Anahola; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a where Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. by Father Al. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
