UH tries to salvage season against Aggies

A season of lost chances and opportunities are the best ways to describe the 2005-06 UH Warrior football program.

Hawai’i’s hopes to receive an invitation to a bowl game ended last week in a 38-28 loss at Nevada.

The Warriors (3-6, 3-4 WAC) return home for their final stretch of home games this week, beginning with the final WAC game of the season against Utah State. Kickoff is slated for 6:05 p.m. at Aloha Stadium. The game will be shown live on Kaua’i on Oceanic Cable pay-per-view digital channel 256. Call (808) 643-2337 to order the contest. The game will also be on the radio at KONG AM570, starting at 6:05 p.m.

Hawai’i holds a 1-4 record all-time against Utah State and is 1-2 when facing off in the Aloha State.

Utah State (2-6, 1-4 WAC), who will try to break a four-game losing streak, is coming off a 27-17 loss to Louisiana Tech. The Aggies managed to roll up 478 yards of total offense to Tech’s 276, but failed to hold on to the foot-ball, committing four fumbles.
