The future of the Kaua’i football program looks very good, after its JV team nailed down another impressive, undefeated season at 6-0.
But this year, the Red Raider defense stood tall, by not allowing a single point in six contests. On offense, Kaua’i was led by Micah Alayvilla, who scored 12 touchdowns this season.
The sophomore utilized a strong offensive line to cross the goal line in his two TDs (59 and 13 yard runs) last Friday, against Waimea, in a 21-0 win. Tyrus Ceria-Lux threw a 13 yard touchdown pass to Kawika Sweet for the other score. Keala Lovell converted all three PAT’s for the Red Raiders.
Kaua’i also went undefeated last season. Head coach Derek Borrero’s hard-nosed, passionate style has been passed on to his players and his assistants during another dominant season.
