Officials with the Kaua’i Police Department are asking for help from members of the public in their search for two teenaged girls KPD officers think are runways, including one who has been missing for nearly six months.
According to KPD investigators, 17-year-old Jolene Corr has been missing since March 23, when she ran away from the old Lihu’e courthouse after a scheduled Family Court appearance.
Corr is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes, and a scar above her left eye. She is of Hawaiian descent.
Shawlyn Texeira, 17, was last seen at Kapa’a High School on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
Texeira is 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tan complexion and a slim build.
Anyone with information on Corr or Texeira is asked to call KPD dispatch at 241-1711, KPD Youth Services, 241-1696, or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
Callers to the Crime Stoppers hotline may remain anonymous, and information leading to the safe return of the teens may trigger release of cash rewards.
