Night drag racing action lights up this Saturday, May 7 at Kaua‘i Raceway Park at Mana.
Weather is expected to be clear on the Westside for exciting racing under the stars. Gates open at noon with test and tune racing from 2pm to 6pm.
Bracket racing action for cash and trophies begins at 7 p.m. with everything from street driven cars and Jr. dragsters to fire breathing alcohol dragsters.
The spectator area is tailgate style where the norm is to bring the cooler, barbecue, and of course the tent for big family gatherings.
The event in put on by Garden Isle Racing Association with the support of event sponsors: King Auto Center, Speedy Lube, Destination Autoworks, JB’s Repair, PS&D NAPA, Kauai Fire Protection, the Carving Stone, Rapid Repair Handyman.
The track is located about one mile past Kekaha turn makai (left) at the pine trees and follow the signs.
Adults are $10 and kids 12 and under are free.
Tickets will be available for the fundraiser sponsored by the Carving Stone restaurant for a chance to win a classic Harley Davidson motorcycle to be given away July 4th.
