David Elliot Torres Sr.
David Elliot Torres, Sr., of Kapa‘a died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 11, 2004, at the age of 48.
Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu on Jan. 21, 1956, he was preceded in death by his father, Elias Torres. He was a Pastor with Hanapepe Missionary Baptist Church and also a retired Navy Electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann (Tomacder) Torres; son, David E. (Ursula) Torres Jr., of Kapa‘a; daughter, Shannon Ruth Torres of Kapa‘a; mother, Hilda Torres of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Bruce (Kelani) Torres of Iowa; sister, Linda (Ted) Wilterding of Anchorage, Ala.; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Edward Ludwiczak
Edward Ludwiczak of Kekaha, died on Dec. 11, 2004 at the age of 86.
Born in Jamestown, New York on July 21, 1918, he is survived by his wife, Nellie; two daughters, Rose of Kekaha and Nancy Tully of Wichita, KS; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Walter Ludwiczak; three sisters, Helen, Dorothy and Alice Ludwiczak.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Ellen M. H. Wong
Ellen Moi Ho Wong of Hanalei died Nov. 19, 2004, in Honolulu at the age of 93.
Born in Pearl City, O‘ahu on April 12, 1911, she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by William Wo Tuck Wong, a rice planter and taro farmer in Hanalei, and her son, Arthur Y.S. Wong, she is survived by four daughters, all of Honolulu: Margaret Yee, Mew Ung Lee, Mew Lin Ching, and Clara Wong; two sons Yau Loy Wong of Kilauea and Frederick Wong of Hanalei. She has 25 granchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
A private ceremony was held in Kaneohe, O‘ahu. Arrangements were handled by Hawaiian Memorial Mortuary.
