Norman Saburo Iwai
Norman Saburo Iwai of Kapa‘a died at his home on Dec. 5, 2004, at the age of 62.
Born in Lihu‘e, on Oct. 18, 1942, he was a retired computer programmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Scott) Courtright and Melodie Iwai, both of California; mother, Tameko Iwai of Kaua‘i; two brothers, Howard Iwai and Paul (Catherine) Iwai, both of Kaua‘i; sister, Patsy (Brad) Imano of Kaua‘i. Services were private.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Takao ‘Bob’ Tsuda
Takao “Bob” Tsuda of LIhu‘e died Dec. 6, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82.
Born June 6, 1922, in Kipu, he was a retired instructor for the University of Hawai‘i and Kaua‘i Community College, and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Alice H. Tsuda; one daughter; Siri Tsuda (Pete Factora); two sons: Randal Tsuda and Elston Tsuda; two sisters: Nancy Kajioka and Betsy Akama; three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Lihue Christian Church, where memorial services will be celebrated at 5 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
George Alamani
George Kaopua Alamani of Anahola died Dec. 9, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 57.
Born Aug. 13, 1947, in Waimea, he was a laborer for a service rental company.
He is survived by his wife: Lulu Alamani; three daughters: Angela (Gary Beck) Santos, Georgette (Stacey Smith) Alamani and Jennifer (William Miller) Alamani; one grandson: George Anthony Santos; one sister: Jane Gray; one brother: Ben (Linda) Alamani.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, where memorial services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and asks that flowers be omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
