Sueko Yoshioka died June 16, 2004, at Garden Isle Health Care in Lihu‘e.
Born Sept. 25, 1922, in Hawai‘i, she was a cook in the cafeteria for Koloa Public School.
She is survived by three children: daughter: Laverne (Daniel) Yoshioka Masaki of Virginia; two sons: Norman (Anne) Yoshioka of Maui and Warren Yoshioka of Kaua‘i; and four grandchildren.
Private services were held on June 21, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel.
Pacita Abella Eala
Pacita Abella Eala of Hanama‘ulu, died July 6, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 60.
A homemaker, she was born April 27, 1944, in the Philippines.
She is survived by husband, Maximimiano Eala of Hanam‘ulu; four daughters: Connie (Alejandrino) Vidal of Hanama‘ulu; Natividad (Nestor) Espejo of Maui, Josephine (Chris) Segismundo of California, Gemma Ewing of Maui; one son: Jonald (Rose) Eala of Waimanalo; four sisters: Patricia (Felix) Sabas of Maui, Flora (Rudy) Negrillo of the Philipines, Erlinda (Cornelio) Abana of the Philippines, and Placida (Leonardo) Liwag of the Philippines; two brothers: Segundo (Florestina) Abella of the Philippines and Jose (Rena) Abella of the Philippines; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 14, at Immaculate Conception Chuch. Visitation will be held again today, July 15, at Immaculate Conception Church at 8 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
