Martin Mullen
Martin (Marty) Mullen died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 28, 2004.
He will be buried with military honors on Thursday, June 10, at 10 a.m. at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Hanapepe. All are welcome.
Sunato Torigoe
Sunato Torigoe of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 28, 2004 at the age of 88.
Born in Wahiawa, Kaua‘i on Jan. 25, 1916, he was a member of the 100 Infantry Battalion, Company D.
He is survived by his brother, Mitsuo (Liberty) Torigoe of Lihue.
Services were private. Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Emily Vidinha
Emily Vidinha of Kalaheo died at Kauai Care Center on June 4, 2004, at the age of 87.
Born in Lawai on Jan. 13, 1917, she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by husband Antone and sons, George, Norman and Alfred, she is survived by daughter Marie (Walter) Perreira of Hilo; two sons, Robert (Sharon) Vidinha of Waianae, O‘ahu and Ernest (Sylvia) Vidinha of Kalaheo; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Fune and Beatrice Martin; brother Louis Freitas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 11, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Nap will begin at 11 a.m. followed by burial at the church cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Ralph Ishikawa
Ralph Ishikawa of Hanapepe Heights died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 6, 2004 at the age of 71.
Born in Numila on Jan. 25, 1933, he was a teacher, fisherman and entertainer.
He is survived by his wife, Takako; three sons, Wade (Grace Kaiukini) Ishikawa of Hanapepe Heights, Ian Ishikawa of Hilo and Robert (Donna Oshiro) Ishikawa of Hanapepe; daughter, Lynn (Craig) Hayashi of Hanapepe Heights; four grandchildren; mother, Yuriko Ishikawa; sister, Betty (Toki) Matsukawa; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service to begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Federico Cadiente
Federico Cadiente of Hanama‘ulu died May 30, 2004, at his home at the age of 70.
Born Feb. 22, 1934, in the Philippines, he was a mill operator for McBryde Sugar and also a master sergeant for the Philippines Air Force.
He is survived by his wife: Caridad Ballesteros Cadiente of Hanama‘ulu; three daughters: Erlinda (Prisco) Ancheta of Hanama‘ulu, Gorgonia (Roger) Barr of Florida, and Merlina (Manny) Catbagan of Kapa‘a; six sons; Andres (Eden) Cadiente of Lihu‘e, Corazon (Elsa) Cadiente of Koloa, Fortunato (Iida) Cadiente of Lawai, Federico Cadiente, Jr. of Kapa‘a, Warlito (Dolly) Cadiente of Hanama‘ulu and Dennis Cadiente of Hanama‘ulu; two sisters: Maria (Federico) Bolosan and Eugenia Acob, both of Honolulu; 32 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Friday, June 11, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 12, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. by Father Bill. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Nancy Lee Sheldon
Nancy Lee Sheldon died June 3, 2004, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 63.
Born Sept. 11, 1940, she was a bank teller at First Hawaiian Bank.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas “Luby” Sheldon; mother-in-law, Sarah Sheldon; three brothers-in-law: Richard Sheldon, Henry Sheldon and Jimmy Dilwith; and three sisters-in-law: Jeannie Sheldon, Gladys Sheldon and Joy-Ann Dilwith.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 12, at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church. Friends may call at 9 a.m. with service to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Larry Ramos
Larry D. Ramos of Kapa‘a, died May 29, 2004, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 87.
Born Aug. 15, 1916, in the Philippines, he was retired from Pacific Diecasting Co.
He is survived by his wife: Patrocinia O. Ramos of Kapa‘a; daughter: Carmen (Dan) Brown of California; two sons: Larry (Helene) Ramos, Jr. of Idaho and Del (Garlena) Ramos of California; sister: Betty (Kenneth) Speetz of California; brother: Adriano Emparado of California; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 12, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and suggests casual attire.
