Kapa‘a High School recently celebrated its 2003-2004 athletic season with an awards banquet on May 22.
There were a total of 332 athletes, (226 one-sport, 67 two-sport, 35 three-sport, 5 four-sport) who were recognized at the event.
Most outstanding players from each sport were given recognition for their accomplishments during their respective seasons.
KIF all-stars were also honored at the banquet, Tyson Cremer (baseball), Kaylan Dolor (boys basketball), Bristol King (girls basketball), Moses Punzal (football), Brian Merkel (football), Amini Ta‘ufo‘ou (football), Ryan Cram (soccer), Masai Bell (soccer), Jackie Huttger (soccer), Amniesty Ragsac (soccer and volleyball), and Sandy Pimental (softball).
Four-sport athletes included, Ryan Cram (basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball), Carrie Esaki (soccer, tennis, volleyball, track and field), Whitney Haraguchi (air rifelry, soccer, tennis, volleyball), Christine Ito ( jv volleyball, track, jv soccer, tennis), Amniesty Ragsac (girls basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball).
The Male and Female U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Awards went to Justin Nagai and Shaundy Dabin.
Male and Female Scholar Athletes of the Year were Jeremy Albano and Whitney Planas and most outstanding athletes of the year were Billy Toy and Jackie Huttger.
