David Agmata Bali of Hanama‘ulu, died March 30, 2004, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 73.
A mechanic for Lihu‘e Plantation, he also was a care home owner and foster parent for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Juliana Agmata Bali and brothers Abraham “Buddy” Bali and sisters Consuelo “Connie” Cruz and Virginia “Gini” Bali Hermado. He is survived by his wife, Natividad “Naty” Baris Bali of Hanama‘ulu; sister: Rosita “Rose” Bali Boloran of O‘ahu; brothers-in-law: Jaime Boloran and Jose Hernando, both of O‘ahui; one sister-in-law: Peggy Bali of O‘ahu; mother-in-law: Engracia Baris; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that flowers be omitted. Services will be on Friday, April 16, at Immaculate Conception Church from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Mass at 7 p.m. Friends and family can visit again at 3906 Hoohuki Street in Hanamaulu for an overnight vigil with the casket. Funeral services will continue on Saturday, April 17, at 3906 Hoohuki street from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Mass starting at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Emily Rapozo Souza
Emily Rapozo Souza of Kapahi died April 6, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 90.
Born Feb. 13, 1914, in Hanama‘ulu, she was preceded in death by her husband: Manuel P. Souza.
She is survived by three sons: Dennis P. Souza of Honolulu, Warren S. Souza of Honolulu, and Patrick J. (Betty) Souza of California; two sisters: Odelia (John) Baker of Louisiana and Mary Rapozo of Kilauea; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday April 13, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Kapa‘a. Visitation starts at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
