More on Papa’a Bay beach issue
Regarding Papa’a Bay beach access. Okay, the best defense is a good offense in court …. thus the federal lawsuit filed by Paul Alston.
Okay, some folks demanding access to Papa’a Bay can be loud, even obnoxious (thank goodness for our well-trained and patient police). The two sides are an ocean apart, and we need leadership, more front-page news, answers and updates from the mayor regarding past and present efforts, especially regarding money designated to solve this problem.
We need the efforts to research the access, deeds, past court decisions, all to be fast tracked. Many have fought for a long time to secure citizen and Hawaiian rights, their patience is thin and nothing more is demanded than what is right and true.
These are my observations.

Entitled to opinion
In response to Ms. Woodruff’s Viewpoint article (GI 12/14) regarding my article of 12/9 about Kusaka’s “accomplishments” while in office. She certainly has a right to her opinion, just as I have a right to mine, and I stand behind what I wrote.
If Ms. Woodruff wishes to back a loser in the November election, then she can vote for Kusaka. Personally, I will choose to stay with a winner who represents the people’s needs and not special interests, and I will do all I can to keep Senator Hooser in office.
