Kapa‘a girls attend camp at HPA in Waimea

Two Kapa‘a athletes recently attended a volleyball camp on the campus of Hawaii Prepatory Academy (HPA) in Waimea.

The event was hosted by UH Women’s Volleyball Coach Dave Shoji and his staff.

Jolianne Arzadon and Mari Punzal received personalized instructions on the various aspects of the game in a four-day camp.

The event was capped off with a mini-tournament on the last day.

Both girls impressed the coaches with their talents.

Jolianne, the daughter of Toddy and Russel Arzadon, attends Kapa‘a High School as a freshman.

She plans on trying out for the Warriors’ varsity team.

Mari, the daughter of Laurie and Eugene Punzal, will be an incoming freshman at Kamehameha school this fall.

She will be trying out for the girls JV volleyball squad and the girls varsity soccer team.

HPA provides various sport camp opportunities during the summer which includes tennis, swimming, golf and volleyball. Check out www.hpa.edu for more information.
