Cadiente takes first in long-jump event

OAHU — Wilcox Elementary student Kelsey Cadiente took first place in the girls 9-10 standing long jump at the 2003 Hawaii Hershey track meet held at Kaiser High School on Saturday.

Cadiente’s jump was 6-feet, 10.25-inches.

She also finished fourth in the 9-10 50-meter dash (8.19) and fifth in the 100 sprint (15.77).

Kauai’s Layne Fernandez was fifth in the boys 100 dash at 12.91.
