The St. Theresa’s Sunset Run has been part of the St. Theresa’s Carnival since 1994 and has been organized by John Glover of Kalaheo along with dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers.
The inaugural St. Theresa’s Run was organized by Clay Glover, who was then a junior at Waimea High School during school year 1993-94.
2003 race volunteers included Sarah Poteete of Waimea, Rob and Carrie Fry of Kekaha, Lynn Moore of Kekaha, John and Becky Morehead of Lawai, Lisa Davalos of Waimea, Bobby Menks of Hanapepe and Karen Glover of Kalaheo. Special recognition this year was given to Jeanine Torrance from PMRF who wrote software for electronic tabulation of race results. The software allowed the race results to be posted within minutes of the race completion, saving participants and volunteers over an hour of waiting around after the race.
