Hiroshi Sagawa, Nevin Resquer-Yorkman
Hiroshi Sagawa of Hanapepe died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 31 at the age of 82.
Born in ‘Ele’ele on July 29, 1920, he was an electrical inspector with the County of Kaua’i.
He is survived by son, Lyle (Gari) Sagawa of Hanapepe; three granddaughters, Lyrissa Sagawa, Lysande Sagawa, Syanne Sagawa; sister, Fukumi Suzui of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 10, 5 p.m. at the Hanapepe Hongwanji. Service officiates by the Rev. Hardiman. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Nevin Gabriel Kaipo Resquer-Yorkman of Waimea died April 4 at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, at the age of 14.
A student at Waimea Canyon School, he was born March 19, 1989, on Kaua’i.
He is survived by parents, Grant K. Yorkman and Neoma J. Resquer; brothers, Keola, Kalama, and Nu’u; sister, Kaanoiokuupuuwai, paternal grandparents, Kamaile and Kaanoi Yorkman; maternal grandmother, Rosie Resquer; paternal great grandmother, Tutu Margaret Aipoalani; maternal great grandmother, Marina Corpuz; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waimea from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with mass at 4 p.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Mortuary.
