Jaime B. Nelmida
Jaime B. “Braddah Kimo” Nelmida died April 4, 2003, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at the age of 64.
Born March 1, 1939, he was a former radio announcer at KTOH and KUAI 720, and a musician at the Kauai Surf Hotel and Kauai Resorts.
He is survived by one son, Bradley (Christina) Nelmida of Kalaheo; daughter, Megan (Arthur) Rice of Kalaheo; brother Ben (Lola) Pascua of Oregon, Smitty (Betty) Nelmida of Honolulu; sisters; Veronica Galloway of Honolulu, Paz Valdez of Kaua’i and Felipa (Bucky) Maurin of Calif.; grandchildren, Daedryn Nelmida and hanai grandchildren; Daysha-Lynn and Kaimana; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, with services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
The family requests casual attire. Borthwick Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Lilia Kauiokahome Kanahele of Kekaha died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on March 29, 2003 at the age of 72.
Born in O’ahu, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by brother, Malaki (Alina) Kanahele of Ni’ihau; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Services officiated by Rev. Dana Kaohelaulii and Rev. Thomas Kanahele will begin at 1 p.m., followed by burial at the Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Ana Caday
Ana P. Caday of Kalaheo, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 29, 2003 at the age of 74.
Born in Paoay Ilocos Norte, Philippines on July 26, 1928, she was a chambermaid with Kiahuna Plantation.
She is survived by two daughters; Eleanor (Manny) Igaya of Kalaheo, and Ador (Daniel) Domingo of Kapa’a, six grandchildren; three brothers; Jose (Gorazon) Pacol of Puhi, Loreto Pacol of Kekaha, and Efren (Noemi) Pacol of Honolulu; sister; Melie (Honorato) Dela Cruz of Kekaha, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 11, at the St. John Church; service officiated by Father John Cowell will begin at 10 a.m. Followed by burial at Kekaha Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.

Norbert Moranz
Norbert Moranz of Kapa’a, died at home on April 5, at the age of 74.
Born in Pittsburgh, Norbert achieved his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wichita State University. He was a Korean War Veteran, and then after several years of practice in California he arrived on Kaua’i with his family in 1973. He was the founder (in 1977) and proprietor of Norberto’s El Cafe, a favorite gathering place for many.
He is survived by his wife; Thea, sons; David, Joe, Chris and Matthew; daughters; Pattie, Linda, Malia and Molly, grandchildren; Joseph, Mikal, Jazzy and Roxanne; brothers; George and Andy; sister, Jeanne McDanel, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A ceremony will be held at Anini Beach Pavilion on Saturday, April 12, at noon.
