Tokim Suzuki raked in a tourney high $328 for catching at 9.3-pound Papio at the 30th Annual Lihue’e Fishing Supply Jackpot tournament Sunday at Kalena Park (weigh-in site).
Suzuki’s top prize was followed by Richard Garcia’s $276 Ulua (56.75-pounds), Nicolai Barca’s $274.5, 4.4-pound Nenue ) and Shawne Baliaris’ $249.75 Oio (6.85-pounds). Barca also netted $166 for his 6.3 pound Oio. Suzuki, Garcia Baliaris and Barca (under five-pound category) each topped their respective groups.
Rey Ramos Jr. led the Moi catch group. His Moi was 4.55-pounds and earned him $231.75. Paka Ornellas’ 18.5-pound Kahala netted him $195.75 and top honors of the “others over five-pounds” group. Ryan Davidson’s 4.5-pound large-mouth bass won him first place and $25 in the freshwater category.
Baliaris brought home the Kimie Reiko Award and Allen Yangco won the Lihue Fishing Supply $75 gift certificate for his 2.65-pound Barracuda.
