Albert “Yoko” Rodrigues, Sr. of Koloa, Kaua’i, died Sept. 5, 2002, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 75.
A heavy equipment operator for McBryde Sugar, he was born March 15, 1927, in Koloa, Kaua’i.
He is survived by his companion: Susan Butacon of Koloa; one son: Albert “Bully” (Mila) Rodrigues, Jr. of California; one daughter: Stephanie Rodrigues of Koloa; one brother: Julio (Caridad) Rodrigues of Koloa; two sisters: Helen Rodrigues and Carmen Rodrigues, both of Honolulu; four step daughters: Paulette Kaiwi of Kekaha, Dorothy (Earl) Torres of Las Vegas, Betty (Warren) Louis of Omao, and Rosemarie Texidor of Honolulu; two step sons: Joseph Carveiro of Omao and Dougas (Tita) Butacan of Koloa; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 12, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Felix, burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery in Koloa.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Albert Noriega of Kapaa, Kauai, died at home on Sept. 8, 2002 at the age of 77.
Born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Oct. 15, 1924, he was a Mechanical Engineer with Bectell Engineering Co.
He is survived by his wife, Claudette Curry Noriega; two sons, Bill (Marlene) Noriega of Los Angeles, Calif. and Curtis (Deanna) Noriega of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Kathy Silber of Michigan; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie Noriega of England and Phil Noriega of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Jones and Jay Jones both of California.; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services officiated by Skip Forrest will be held at Hanalei Bay at a later date. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted. Donations may be made to the Hanalei Canoe Club Youth Division.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
