Kapa’a Middle School hosts KYBA games

On Tuesday, June 18, the Kapa’a Warriors topped the Lihue T-Maxx 34-19. Bryson Gonzalas scored 10 points for the Warriors; David Keifer added eight points.

For the T-Maxx, Johnathan Ruaboro led the way with 10 points.

In the second game, the Lihue Alii topped Wailua 58-12 with the help of 16 Michael Julian points.

Pono Perez added 13 points for the Alii; Matt Lindsey led Wailua with six points.

On Thursday, June 20, Wailua topped Lihue 34-31 in the first of two games.

Wailua’s Matt Lindsey and Preston Keough each scored 13 points; Sam Alop scored 11 points for Lihue.

In the second game, the Lihue Comets used 10 points from Keliinoi Sanoe to top the Blackhawks 31-11.

Cody Murden scored nine points for the Blackhawks.

On Tuesday, June 25, Kristen Shim scored seven points to lead the Kaua’i Fire Raiders to a 27-14 win over the Anahola Sparks.

Ho’onani Dennis and Carie Inouye each added six points for the Fire Raiders; Sandi Makepa scored five points for the Sparks.

In the second game, the Kaumakani Supersonics were led by 10 Lexine Valenciano points in its 22-15 win over the Kapa’a 76ers.

Vania Singletary scored 10 points for the 76ers.
