Maria Barut Castillo of New Mill (McBryde) Camp died at Hale Kupuna Nursing Home on May 30, 2002, at the age of 93.
Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Dec. 21, 1908, she was a housewife.
She is survived by two sons, Alfred (Dolores) Castillo of Kalaheo, Kauai and Mac Arthur (Gloria) Castillo of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Josephine (Fred) Samoy of Tucson, Arizona and Pacita (Gerald) Tegen of Kewaunee, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
