The sixth and final contest of the HSF Series went off at Prince Kuhio last weekend.
Tyler Newton won the Menehune Division, edging second place finisher Aaron Swanson for top honors. Alex Smith, Kalani Martin, Robert Fain and Spencer Regan rounded the top six of the Menehune division.
Martin made a run at the Boys Division, but he was topped by Kyle Ramey, who went home with gold.
Chris Eniem, Storm Kam, Clay Posner and Ke’ale Chung rounded out the top spots for the Boys Division.
In Juniors, Kyle Calloway beat out Shane Valiere and Drew Irons for top honors. Masaijah Lani, Gavin Gillette and Hoku Hookano finished in the top six.
Hookano fell to Chris Satterfield in the Open Men’s Divison. Satterfield won the divison, while Kyle Calloway took third; Zach Arreola took fourth; Lani took fifth and Wyatt Taubman came in sixth.
For the Masters Divison, Ruben Balmores took first, David Miyasato took second, Primo Lagandino came in third and Max Mederios came in fourth. Les Tabuchi and John Lumabao took fifth and sixth.
Along with fifth in Masters, Tabuchi won the Senior Mens divison, edging Craig Balmores for the top prize. Charles Smith took third in the division.
In the Women’s Division, Ashley Fagerstedt beat out Alana Brennan for first. Bethany Hamilton took third over Alana Blanchard, and Rachel Parker took fifth and sixth went to Shaye Donnelley.
Harvey Wong won the Longboard Division, Balmores took second and Charles Smith took third.
For the Bodyboarding competition:
Cory Mira battled Kyle Mira for top honors in the Boys Division. Sandon Kamaunu, Jason Obe Smith, Jeremy Ferguson and Ryan Harrismindy rounded the top six finishers (in that order).
For the Juniors, Ryan Moribe took top honors over Maui Givens. Phillip Pembrook, Kainoa Lum, Sean Allen and Mathew Murray followed.
And in the senior Division, Jacob Pembrook won, Casildo Quiroz took second, Jonah Dias took third, Sean Allen nabbed fourth and Givens and Kyle Forker took fifth and sixth.
