Rosella Ahu Moi Char Mahelona of Wailua, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hosp. on April 2, 2002 at the age of 86.
Born in Honolulu, O’ahu on May 13, 1915, she was a retired Custodian with the State of Hawaii.
She is survived by sons, Louis P. of Virginia, Charles K. (Karen) of Wailua, Kauai, Stephen L. of Anahola, Kauai, John (Sue) of Anahola, Kauai and Alan of Anahola, Kauai; daughters, Gwendolyn R. (Glenn) Bargamento of Wailua, Kauai, Barbara (Pete) Leota of Anahola, Kauai, Merriel (Clay) Yonohara of Kekaha, Kauai and Vivian (Jerry) Almeida of Kahaluu, O’ahu; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Harriet Cavaco and May Mahuka, both of Oahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A closed casket wake service has been scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; visitation with the family at 10 a.m.; service officiated by Rev. Wayne Vidinha will begin at 11 a.m. A closed casket funeral service will be held in Honolulu, friends may again visit with the family at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Nuuanu Mortuary chapel; service officiated by Rev. Wayne Vidinha will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial at Valley of the Temples at 1 p.m. in Kaneohe, O’ahu. Aloha attire is suggested and flower omitted.

Moises Magen Lemi Sr. of Hanama’ulu, Kauai, died at Queen’s Medical Center on April 2, 2002, at the age of 74.
Born in Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, PI on Sept. 17, 1927, he was a heavy equipment operator with Lihue Plantation Co.
He is survived by wife, Ramona Aradanas Lemi of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i; sons, Moises M. Lemi Jr. of Wailua, Kauai, Wayne K. (Joanie) K. Lemi of Hanamaulu, Kauai and Allan T.K. Lemi of Lawai; daughters, Michelle L. Lemi of Hanamaulu, Kauai and Lisa M. (Terry) Rosare of Lawai, Kauai; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, Apr. 12, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Paul will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the Lihue Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
