KALAHEO – Waimea and Hanapepe and the Kaumakani Supersonics each left the Kalaheo NC gymnasium with decisive wins in a three game series played at the community neighborhood on Thursday.
Jordon Dizon kept his high scoring streak from the HHSAA State Championships in tact with 27 points for the Supersonics, which topped the Lihue We 56-38 in the first game of the evening.
Aren Racca and Kaupili Akau each notched 11 points for the We.
Waimea’s James Henriques scored 13 points to lead his team to a 40-25 victory over the Lihue Sholtz.
Kalau Hammond scored 10 points for Lihue.
And in the final game, Hanapepe’s Kevin Castillo scored 10 points to propel his team to a 52-35 win over the Lihue Five-O’s.
J Paul Hornstine scored nine points for the losing Five-O’s.
