To all interested freediving spear fishermen, the Kaua’i 2002 Freedive Spearfishing Tournament will be held on May 26, 2002 (Sunday, Memorial Day Weekend), at Anini beach park (near boat ramp).
Check in by 7 a.m. Roll call and briefing to follow. Dive ends at 2 p.m. All divers must be returned, up on the beach of starting area. You will be checked in and a checker will be there to verify, segregate your catch.
The Boundaries are from Honohono Pt. (North or Anini Beach Park) to Kalihiwai Bay Pt. (South of Anini Beach Park). Alternate site: Hanalei Bay (Waikoko’s to Princeville resort hotel). $25 Entry Fee per diver (all proceeds going toward prizes, awards, and/or food during weigh in.

Koloa-Kalaheo Pop Warner Association
The Koloa-Kalaheo Pop Warner Association will be holding early registration for flag football, tackle football and cheerleading each Thursday from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. commencing on Thursday, March 28, at the locker rooms at Koloa Park.
Thursday registrations will continue throughout the month of April, 2002.
Flag Football: Divisions: Cub – Ages 5, 6, 7; Bobcat – Ages 8, 9, 10 The Season will begin sometime in May. Tackle Football & Cheerleading Divisions: Jr. Pee Wee – Ages 8, 9, 10, 11; Pee Wee – Ages 9, 10, 11, 12; Midget – Ages 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. The season will begin in August.
Any interested participant residing between Kalaheo and Koloa should register early to get a head start for the season. Registration will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Get your child off the couch and sign him or her up to participate in an action-filled, competitive sport. There is a limit of thirty five players for each tackle football team.

Pu’uwai Canoe Club Children’s Program
The Pu’uwai Canoe Club Children’s Program begins April 1 at the club’s location on the Wailua river near the Kuhio highway bridge.
The schedule is Mon. & Wed. 3:00 PM–ages 12 to 14. Tue. & Thu. 3:00 PM — ages 15 to 18.
