Born in the Philippines, on July 5, 1913, he was a laborer for Holmes and Narvar.
He is survived by his wife: Erlinda Butac Marcelino of Kapa’a, one son: Ferdinand “Fredie” (Gliceria “Glacy”) Marcelino of Hanama’ulu, 2 grand-children.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapa’a, from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kilauea Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.

Juan Sebastian Claridad of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 8, 2002, at the age of 96.
Born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Feb. 14, 1905, he was a retired Herbicide Supervisor with Lihu’e Sugar Plantation.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolina (Manuel Mapue) Cacatian-Mapue of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i; sisters, Caridad Claridad Cabasa of Las Vegas, NV., and Basila Corrales; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service to begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
