In Sunday’s sports article on KIF soccer, Waimea was listed as having only one loss, when in fact it has two.
This means if Kapa’a (who lost its first game of the season Saturday and is now at 4-1) is able to pull out a win this week against the Kaua’i Red Raiders, they will clinch the KIF Championship and a state-berth.
AYSO 941 Tryouts Under-10 girls
An AYSO 941 Kirk Banks Tournament tryout for under-10 girls will take place Thursday and Friday, January 17 and 18, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kapahi Park.

Rebels, Ringahs, Hornets and Warriors notch wins
The Kalaheo Neighborhood Center hosted four consecutive Boys 12-under games, Saturday, and the Lihue Rebels, the Lihue Ringahs, the Westside Hornets and Kapa’a Warriors came out with wins.
The Rebels beat the Kalaheo Pistons #1 33-18. Jonathan Ruaboro scored 14 points for the Rebels; Tyrus Ceria-Lux put up 11 for the Pistons.
The Ringahs got the win over the Kalaheo Pistons #2, 45-15. Bradley Semana scored 10 for the Ringahs; Braxton Parongao scored seven for the Pistons #2.
The Hornets beat Kilauea 42-27. Vincent Geronimo scored 16 points for the Hornets; Tyler Hadley notched 13 for Kilauea.
The Kapa’a Warriors edged the Kapa’a 22-18. Devin Saiki scored 10 for the Warriors; Kilakila Youn notched six for Kapa’a.
