Christian Lovell
Christian Kaliko Lovell of Anahola, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial
Hospital on Dec. 19, 2001 at the age of 67.
Born in Anahola, Kaua’i, on Dec. 18, 1934, he was a diver.
He is survived by his brother: Castro (Irene) Lovell of Anahola; five
sisters: Katherine Rivera of Anahola, Jennie “Loke” (Blake) Pereira
of Anahola, Diane Ociley of O’ahu, Priscilla (Mike) Nagallanes of
California, Alvina Mills of Anahola; 3 Hanai Children: Violet Coito
of O’ahu, Viola Lovell of Anahola, Seena Azevedo of O’ahu, numerous
nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Dec. 27, at Koolau
Huiia Church in Anahola from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. where services will
be celebrated at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at the Koolau Huiia Church
in Anahola. Aloha attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
Deogracio Doctolero to run with pic friday, dec. 21 and wed. dec. 26
Deogracio “Baba” Doctolero, Jr., of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died Dec. 11,
2001, at his home in Hanama’ulu, at the age of 38.
Born March 12, 1963, he died after suffering from a long illness, and
remained active in the Way of Salvation Church and the community.
He is survived by two brothers: Melvin (Nicole) Doctolero of Las
Vegas and Michael Doctolero of Kekaha; one sister: Julie Doctolero
Kaluahine of Hanamulu; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Family and friends may call on Friday, Dec. 28, at Borthwick/Kaua’i
Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cremation to follow.
Services will be officiated by the Rev. Nadarisay.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by
Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
Juana Tanicala
Juana Agoo Tanicala of Puhi, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial
Hospital, on Dec. 20, 2001 at the age of 96.
Born in the Philippines on April 9, 1905, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters: Josefe Florentino of the
Philippines, Catalina (Juan) Espiritu of Puhi, Ursula (Drigo) Aguda
of the Philippines, Petra (Armanda) Peralta of Kaua’i; four sons:
Vicenta (Julia) Tanicala, Sr. of Kaua’i, Rogelio (Flaviana) Tanicala
of O’ahu, Virgilio (Lucena) Tanicala of the Philippines, Eusebio
(Lisa) Tanicala of the Philippines, two brothers: Johnny Agoo of
Washington and Ciriaco Agoo of O’ahu. 31 grandchildren, 35
great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Dec. 28, at Immaculate
Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where services will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. By Father Paul. Burial to follow at Lihu’e
Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
