Monday’s Pro Am event kicked off the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
A number of Kaua’i’s young golfers were able to watch the four champions conduct a clinic on fundamental golf, including driving and form. Hawaii Coach June Jones was on hand for the Pro Am, which featured many amateurs who wanted to duke it out with the PGA’s best. The day was ideal for all four golfers, three of whom just arrived in Kaua’i from the World Cup in Japan the night before. They all looked rather sluggish, but mentioned they were poised to get into some tournament action, starting today.
The Tournament begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday and concludes with the finals on Wednesday starting at 9 a.m. The tournament will be televised on TNT cable network on both days starting at 3 p.m. HST. Pro-Am gives champs a short break.
