Did you ever wonder how the Hawai’i Visitors & Convention Bureau and Kaua’i Visitors Bureau promotes the island and state to prospective visitors?
You’ll have a chance to find out from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. this Wednesday, July 11, as the two entities host a briefing at the Radisson Kaua’i Beach Resort.
There is a $5 charge for the event, which begins with a continental breakfast. “We call this event ‘Shaping the Future (A Continuous Evolution)’ because it will give business people a glimpse of HVCB’s marketing strategies and initiatives and prompt them to think how they can integrate what they’re doing with what we’re doing in the months and years ahead,” said Tony Vericella, HVCB president and chief executive officer.
Vericella and Sue Kanoho, KVB executive director, will offer remarks to start the seminar, designed to let business people and other interested folks learn more about how Hawai’i and Kaua’i are marketed to travel agents and consumers across North America and the world.
Participants will hear presentations on a wide range of HVCB’s integrated marketing initiatives, targeting North American consumers and travel agents; news media and travel writers; meetings, conventions and incentive travel planners; the Japanese travel market; and developing markets in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and South America.
Presented also will be HVCB’s customer trends, customer communications, strategic partnerships and Knowledge Bank programs that support its worldwide mission of promoting leisure and business travel from all over the world.
David Bevett of Cybercom will discuss the growth of Internet technology and e-business, what all that means to the visitor industry, and how to market a business on the Internet.
