Adult Summer USA League Tennis action is up-and-running on Kaua’i with 17 teams competing for the opportunity to win the Kaua’i district title for their respective division. Here are the results of the matches played May 20-27 in Poipu:
In the 4.0 Women’s League: Kamalii Mai Kaua’i won four out of five matches of its first encounter against Aces Wild at the Kiahuna Tennis Club. Kamalii Mai Kaua’i also won all five matches in its second encounter with Aces Wild at the Sheraton.
In the 4.0 Men’s League: MIA (Missing in Action) defeated Tradewinds in three out of five matches at Kaua’i Lagoons Tennis Courts.
In the 3.5 Women’s League: Ikaika took four of five matches from Embassy Rackettes at Hanapepe Court, and Sushi Blues swept Inspirations five straight at Hanalei Bay Resort.
In the 3.5 Men’s League: WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) got the best of Peter Taylor Team, 3-2
In 3.0 Women’s League: Lahuhala Ladies defeated Ladies of the Court in four out of five matches at Hanalei Bay Resort, and the Wicked Wahines took four of five from Le’ale’a at Poipu Kai Tennis Club.
In the 3.0 Men’s League: Da Boyz won three out of four matches from Savage’s at Kiahuna Tennis Club.
There will be another rating clinic at Hanalei Bay Resort at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 2. This will be the final formal rating clinic until the Ekolu League starts this fall. Eric Lutz will be taking appointments for ratings.
