In the Midget (17-under), the Tanigawa Construction Kings emerged champions with a 7-5 victory over the Sleeping Giants. The Kings took the early lead and were able to hold on for the title.

That the Kings and Giants were even playing for the title was a bit unexpected. The regular-season champions in the Midget Division, Kapa’a Ice Company, were defeated twice in the semifinals and eliminated from play.
In the Bantam Division (13-under), the Meadow Gold Moovers were crowned champions with a 5-2 victory over the Kaua’i Electric Chargers. The Moovers broke open a tight game with four goals late in the second half.
Chase Bohn scored three goals for the victors, while Ryan Swanson stopped 30 shots in goal. Garren Venzon netted two goals for the Chargers and Treston Rego registered 47 saves.
Moovers members are: Swanson, Bohn, Aaron Swanson, Noah Murray, Nicholas Murray, Jesse Boucher, Jacob Pierce, Toby Tolentino, Kyle Morgan and Julian Yeats.
In the Squirt Division (10-under), contested earlier in the week, the Papayas Pythons came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Hesse Carpet Menehunes 3-2. Zeb Leech-Kritchman scored the game-winning goal with 2:36 remaining in the overtime period.
Shaun Hashi for the Pythons and Aaron Swanson for the Menehunes were solid in goal with 18 and 25 saves respectively.
Members of the Pythons are: Hashi, Leech-Kritchman, Amanda Mayer, Kirsten McCracken, Maegan Pablo, Waylan Duncan, BJ Melchor, Tanner Shigeta, Kaysi Ota, Gregory Balmores, Laurie-Ann Tamayo, Destiny Smith, Lovely C. Hyde, Tori Ann Yatogo, Sierra Mayer and Travis Shigeta.
Additionally, the YMCA Roller Hockey League would like to announce that all-star teams have been formed in four age divisions, and will participate in the USA Hockey Regional Championships in Kona June 15-17.
