William J. Froelich of Koloa, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Apr. 2, 2001, at the age of 72.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 11, 1928, he was a retired Attorney with Search Drilling Co.
He is survived by: his wife: Ruth Froelich of Koloa, Kaua’i; three daughters: Kitsy (John) Carnes of Corpus Christi, TX, Nancy (Robert) Grow of Mason, OH, and Jaimee Froelich of Mission Viejo, Calif.; four grandchildren; sister: Mary (James) Vetter of Dallas, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service has been scheduled at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 6, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo; with service officiated by Father Keahi. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Kaua’i Hospice. Casual attire and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.

Kishiye Wakuta, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Apr. 2, 2001, at the age of 83.
Born in Koloa, Kaua’i on Jan. 21, 1918, she was a retired Secretary with Top to Toe Gift Shop.
She is survived by: her husband: Mamoru Wakuta of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; three sons: Dean Wakuta, Terrance Wakuta, and Stuart Wakuta, all of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; six grandchildren; two brothers: Kuichi Okumura and Robert (Grace) Okumura, both of Honolulu, O’ahu, five sisters: Joyce Tashima of Lihue, Kaua’i, Satsuki (James) Moriwaki of ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i, Rosemary Hackbarth, Yukiko Okumura and Nanako (Lawrence) Taguma, all of Honolulu, O’ahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service has been scheduled on Sunday, April 8, with visitation at 3 p.m. and the service at 4 p.m. at the Kapa’a United Church of Christ; service officiated by Pastor Beth. Casual attire is suggested.

Saturnina Estrada Castro of Kapa’a died April 1, 2001, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.
A homemaker, she was born Nov. 11, 1911, in the Philippines.
She is survived by one son: Victor (Nancy) Castro of O’ahu; one daughter: Mila (William) Tamaoka of O’ahu; one brother: Fausto Estrada of the Philippines; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 8, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 2 p.m. with services to be celebrated at 3 p.m. Inurnment will be at the Lihu’e Public Cemetery on Monday, April 9, at 9 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
