Cory ‘Snap’ Koichi Moritsugu
Cory “Snap” Koichi Moritsugu, 57, of Kekaha, passed away at his residence on Jan. 9. He was born in Los Angeles on June 7, 1959. He was a retired automotive inspector and mechanic.
He is survived by his son, Bricen S. Moritsugu of Koloa; daughters, Nadine M.L. (Michael S.) Park of Mililani, Oahu; and Keria Vandehey of Hanapepe; mother, Ilona K. Moritsugu, of Koloa; brothers, Robin L. Moritsugu of Kapaa; Ross H. Moritsugu of Koloa; and former wife, Corlis K. Moritsugu of Koloa; grandchildren, Emma K.C. Park and Nainoa K.K. Park. Also survived by aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and companion, Elizabeth Nani Sanay Pa‘ao‘ao.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren K. Moritsugu; sister, Doreen C. (Rodney Young) Fernandez; grandparents, Alice (John Jr.) Maglinti; Lono Fu and Henry K. and Mary F. Kawaguchi Moritsugu.
A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 31 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Koloa. Visitation with the family is at 10 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire.

Erick Manguchei
Erick Manguchei, 48, passed away on Jan. 7, peacefully in his home. He was born on Aug. 3, 1968, in Lihue. He was a mechanical operations supervisor with Kauai Coffee Company.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Manguchei, Jr., grandparents Manuel Soto Manguchei, Julia Boreliz Manguchei, Ismael Lagutan Garcia and Angela Salud Garcia.
He is survived by his wife, Leona “Kea” Manguchei; daughters, Kaelyn (Cody Wallace) Manguchei, Sofia-Marie Manguchei and six hanai daughters; mother Mary Manguchei; brothers Alan Eugenio and Orlando Manguchei; best friend Darren “Bullay” (Lani) Agoot, the Agoot ohana, along with numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Kapaa Missionary Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. and services beginning at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will follow immediately at Nawiliwili/Kalapaki Beach Park.
The family requests aloha or casual attire.

Colleen Antoinette Ariola
Colleen Antoinette Ariola passed away at the age of 63 on Jan. 17 at her residence. Born on May 6, 1953, in Lihue, she was a retired sales clerk.
She was preceded in death by her father Juan Begonia and sister Judith Raven.
She is survived by her husband Darrell K. Ariola; daughter, Kimberly Kainoa (Randy Sukisaki) Ariola-Sukisaki of Hilo; hanai son Vance Igawa of Koloa; mother, Fely Begonia; brothers John Begonia Jr. of Ewa Beach, Reuben Begonia of Mililani, Clarence Ariola Jr. of Koloa, Roland Ariola of Mililani and Byron Ariola of Eleele; sisters, Bobbi Rogelstad of Mesa, Ariz., Stella Begonia of San Jose, Jackie Ariola Munos of Lawai, and Clarissa Schraufnagel of Belleville, Ill.; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. with her celebration of life to begin at 3 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Richard ‘Dickie Pops’ Seshiki
Richard “Dickie Pops” Seshiki of Kapaa passed away at the age of 76 on Jan. 16 at his residence. Born on July 5, 1940, in Kawaihau, he was an electrician and veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kurato Seshiki; mother, Kinue Uyematsu Seshiki; and stepson Clayton Butch Shibao.
He is survived by his wife Carole Seshiki; daughters, Gina (Roddy) Kaulukukui of Anahola, Laurie (Sherry) Shibao of Lihue and Lisa (Pauly) Kuwamura of Wailua Houselots; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen (Norman) Taira of California; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Kapaa Hongwanji Mission. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services following at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and requests flowers be omitted.

Joseph Michael Polan
Joseph Michael Polan of Puhi passed away at home on Jan.17 at the age of 76. He was born in Lihue on April 7, 1940, and retired from Grove Farm as construction supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marciel Polan; brother Andrew Polan and sister Judi Spencer.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Chisai Polan; daughter Michele Polan; son, Michael (Cheryl) Polan; granddaughters, Sasha, Shyla, Nicole and Natalie; grandsons, DJ, Michael Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kingsten, Kazu, Shyli, Austin, Avery; sisters Alice Rowe and Bea Ebinger; brother Tuffy Poe; niece Lani (Aylward) Aranio; nephews, Kalei, Sam and Sol Van Gieson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Jan. 27 at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.

Marilyn Cuaresma Labrador
Marilyn Cuaresma Labrador of Kapaa passed away on Dec. 28 at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 59.
Born on July 11, 1957 in Lihue, she was a secretary for the state of Hawaii Intake Services branch in Lihue.
She was preceded in death by parents Antonio and Margarita Cuaresma.
She is survived by husband Adrian Labrador of Kapaa; sons Tarey (Ashley) Labrador of Kailua, Oahu; and Tyler Labrador of Kapaa; brothers James (Leonida) Cuaresma of Wailua Houselots, Robert (Evangeline) Cuaresma of Keapana, and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
The celebration of life Saturday, Jan. 28 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa. Visitation is at 8 a.m. with Mass at 10 a.m.
