Congratulations to Fred Cowell, Darla Domingo and all those Kaua‘i Coffee Company ‘ohana (even the customers — the bear cap was pretty awesome — talk about how good the people are) on the launch of the new sampling bar that addresses some of the issues generated by the COVID-19, at the visitor center in Numila. Fred said Darla and crew put together that fancy bar (whose Norfolk did that come from) in pretty short order. Now, what’s the holiday special?

Kudos, too, to Keali‘imalu Ka‘awa and his “they-all-play-sports-together” group, including Luke Dela Pena, Cole Taba, Wyatt Harsell, Braden Sanpei and Bryden Heu-Greenbaum (he goes to Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama) on getting involved with National Forensic Nurses Day. Mayor Derek Kawakami commended the boys on their standard of being men when the boys presented the Kaua‘i team of forensic nurses led by Jennifer Anthony (she was a soccer mom at one point in her life) with “Beloved Bundles” the boys assembled.
Kudos to Kaua‘i Police Department Assistant Chief Bryson Ponce and Lt. Christopher Calio on spearheading the forensic-nurse tribute where Kawakami and County Council Chair Arryl Kaneshiro had an opportunity to add their official tributes.
