Kalaheo; five daughters; Linda (Arnold) Labuguen of O’ahu, Carolyn (Davis)
Cortez, Sr., of Kapa’a, Katherine (Donald) Castelo, Sr. of O’ahu, Pamela (Wes)
Peak of Kentucky, and Donna Pancho of Kalaheo; four sons: Frederic Pancho, Sr.
of Kalaheo, Andrew (Jerenda) Pancho of Alaska, Paul (Sharon) Pancho of Hanapepe
and Maurice (Belinda) Pancho of Hanapepe; 27 grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren, one sister: Laordes of the Philippines; numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Friday, March 31, at
Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday,
April 1, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m where Mass
will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Keahi. Burial to follow at Kauai
Memorial Gardens
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled
by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
Esterlita Bristol
Esterlita Bristol of
Woodinville, Wash., died March 19, 2000, at the age of 49.
A graduate of
Kaua’i High School, she was born on Kaua’i on Oct. 18, 1950.
She is
survived by her parents, Federico and Revelina Bristol, sisters Angie Bristol
and Veda Bristol of Puhi, brothers Rodney (Paula) Bristol of Wailua and Warren
(Susan) Bristol of Washington; nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
Memorial services will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in
Kapa’a on Saturday, April 1, at 4 p.m.
Kumeo Amaki
Kumeo “Cowboy”
Amaki, of Kaumakani, Kauai, died at Queen’s Medical Center on March 23, 2000,
at the age of 74.
Born in Makaweli, Kauai on July 3, 1925, he was a
retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic with Olokele Sugar Co., and also a veteran of
the United States Army.
He is survived by: his wife, Harumi Amaki of
Kaumakani, Kauai; sons: Neal Amaki and Donald Amaki, both of Kaumakani, Kauai
and Milton (Tenley) Amaki of Eleele, Kaua’i; daughters: Aileen Arakawa of
Haliimaile, Maui, Claire (Christopher) Olores of Hanapepe, Kauai;
grandchildren; sisters: Hisae (Sadamu) Kawaguchi of Gardena, Calif., Mitsuko
Tomita of Kaneohe, Oahu, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may
visit with the family at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 31, at the Garden Island
Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Itagaki will begin at 3 p.m.
Followed by burial at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire
is suggested and flowers omitted.
