Memorial Hospital on March 16, 2000, at the age of 79.
Born in ‘Ele’ele,
Kaua’i on Feb. 1, 1921, she was 79 years of age at the time of her death.
Mrs. Ishii is survived by: one son: Clifford (Linda) Ishii of Waimea,
Kaua’i; one brother: Larry (Ginger) Hanada of Numila, Kaua’i; numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Services were private.

Iyono Oda
Iyono Oda, of Puhi,
Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 18, 2000, at the age of 100.
Born in Hiroshima-Ken, Japan on April 8, 1899, she is survived by: three
sons: Masaharu (Emma) Oda of Puhi, Kaua’i, Louis Oda of Honolulu, O’ahu, and
Tokiji Oda of Los Angeles, Calif.; five daughters: Hatsuko Fujishige of Puhi,
Kaua’i, Shizuko (Shinkichi) Hirashima of Chicago, Illinois, Yoshie Uyesono of
Hanamaulu, Kaua’i, Edith (Tsutomu) Otsuka of Mililani, O’ahu, and Judith Oda
of Los Angeles, Calif.; 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, numerous
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private.

Junichi Iida
Junichi
Iida, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at home on March 24, 2000, at the age of 86.
Born in Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i on Sept. 3, 1913, he was a retired Mechanic
with the County of Kaua’i Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife: Toshiko
Iida of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; daughters: Sally (Wallace) Yokota of Honolulu, O’ahu,
Arleen (Calvin) Fujita, Fay (John) Hanaoka and Jennie (Marvin) Nomi, all of
Wailua Houselots, Kapa’a and Jennie (Marvin) Nomi; grandchildren;
great-grandchildren; sisters: Ethel (David) Inagaki of Lihu’e, Kaua’i and Myra
Inouye of Kailua, O’ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may
visit with the family at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at the Kapa’a
Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by Ref. Takata will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
