KAPA`A—Kaua`i Gym will be hosting “Kaua`i’s Strongest Bench Press”
contest on Saturday, July 15 starting at 1:00 p.m. at its facilities located at
934B Kipuni Way in Kapa`a.
Shane McSane, pressing 590 pounds at a
bodyweight of 236 pounds, will make a special exhibition bench press as part of
the day’s event which will have all proceeds being presented to the family of
Alyshia Shimizu who is fighting the rare Flesh-Eating Bacteria.
McShane is
the 1999 State, and 2000 WABDL Bench Press Champion.
Music will be
presented by Tesai of Stonee Age Enterprise, and the event is being sponsored
by Kapa`a Paint, Luis Soltren Construction, Kalika’s Koa Carvings, and Sonya’s
Auto Detailing.
