He was a
member of the Kaua’i Chorale, Civil Air Patrol, Civil Air Patrol, Na Lima Koka
and the Early Birds of Kukuiolono Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife
Carol, brother Marvin Marsh, son Glen of Perrysburg, Ohio, daughter Linda (Ken)
Bail of Lawai and four granddaughters. There will be a graveside service at
Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park (road by Kaua’i High) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.
15. The family suggests aloha attire and that friends bring an umbrella.
Friends are invited back to his home after the service. Donations may be sent
to the Kauai Chorale, P.O. Box 690, Lawai, 96765.

Sweet
Mattie M. Sweet of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital
on Nov. 5, 2000, at the age of 88.
Born in Alabama on May 22, 1912, she
was a retired LPN with Huntington West Minister Park Hospital.
She is
survived by: one daughter: Leigh (Edward) Whitaker of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; one
sister Minnie Lee Lofton of Esto, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will
be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Lihu’e Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul
officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual or aloha attire
is suggested.

Ltd.
