Angeline Keo Akana of Kekaha, Kauai, died on June 29, 2001 at her residence, at the age of 66.
Born in Kahuku, Oahu, on Aug. 16, 1934, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: George Kauai Akana of Kekaha; three sons: Wendall (Emerald) Akana of California; Lewellyn Akana of Kekaha; Clifford (Raynette) Akana of Kekaha; two daughters: DeborahLee (Marcelino) Celestino of Kekaha; Darlene (William) Nordmeier of Kekaha; eight brothers: Bartholomew Yadao (Friend Napua); Herbert (Zelma) Yadao; Alfredo Yadao; Clarence Yadao; John Yadao; George Keo; Rabano (Charolette Keo all of Hau’ula, Oahu; five sisters: Gloria Kuhikulaulani (friend Sonny) of Kaneohe, Oahu; Victoria Yadao of Hau’ula, Oahu; Leilani (Thomas) Atkins of Oahu; Helen Peterson of Washington State; Annie (Ronald) Clay of Haleiwa, Oahu; 3 granddaughters; 2 grandsons, Santiago Family – Hau’ula, Oahu, Rabanai Family – Kahuku, Oahu; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 8, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lawa’i Valley from 1:30 p.m. Services to be celebrated at 2:30 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Family suggests that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
