Florence k. aluag, of Kekaha, Kaua’i, died at Hale Omao Care Home on June 24, 2001, at the age of 85.
Born in Waimea, Kaua’i on Jan. 17, 1916, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by: sons: Ronald (Aura) Aluag of Los Angeles, Calif., Stan (Rose) Aluag of Mililani, Oahu; Steven Aluag of Scranton, PA, Albert Aluag of Honolulu, Oahu, and Milton (Pulani) Aluag of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter: Audrey (Paul) Swanson of Lagoona Nigel, Calif.; sisters: Margaret Sam Fong of Kekaha, Kaua’i and Frances DeCosta of Waimea, Kaua’i; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, at the Kekaha LDS Church; service officiated by Bishop Wright will begin at 11 a.m. followed by burial at the Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Anna Rose Bryant
Anna Rose Bryant died June 6, 2001, in Seattle, Wash., at the age of 50.
After a long stint at United Way of King County, Miss Bryant was employed by Group Health Cooperative, first in Seattle and then at the Tukwila Call Center as a customer service representative.
Born March 28, 1951, in North Carolina she was raised on Kaua’i. She is survived by her aunt, Maureen (Edwin) Morrison, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i.
Inurnment was at Lihu’e Cemetery.
Lydia B. Laguatan
Lydia B. Laguatan, of Kekaha, Kaua’i, died at Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital on July 1, 2002, at the age of 59.
Born in Pangasinan, Philippines on Aug. 11, 1941, she was a housekeeper with Hyatt Regency Hotel, she is survived by: husband: Ireneo Laguatan of Kekaha, Kaua’i; son: Michael (Lorissa) Bisarra of Kekaha, Kaua’i; daughter: Christina Bisarra Peciller of Honolulu, O’ahu; five brothers: Filamor (Petra) Bisarra of Kekaha, Kaua’i, Julian (Elvira) Bisarra of Kekaha, Kaua’i; Francisco (Holing) Bisarra, Sr. of Kekaha, Kaua’i; Pedro (Leonida) Bisarra of Kekaha, Kaua’i, and Benjamin Bisarra of Pangasinan, PI; three sisters: Segundina Cascolan of Los Angeles, Calif., and Antonia Sanchez of Manila, PI, and Macaria Padilla of Manila, PI; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at the St. Theresa Catholic Church; mass officiated by Father Larry will begin at 4 p.m. Followed by burial at the Kekaha Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Hideo Kakutani
Hideo Kakutani, of Lawai, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 2, 200, at the age of 89.
Born in Kukuiula, Kaua’i on Sept. 15, 1911, he was a retired Cook with Poipu Sheraton.
He is survived by: his wife: Eleanor Kakutani of Lawai, Kaua’i; daughter Gale (Roy) Nakasone of Honolulu, O’ahu; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister: Lillian of California; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 4:30 p.m. on Thurs. July 5, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Itagaki will begin at 5:30 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Joseph Lopes
Joseph Lopes, of Lihu’e, Kauai, passed away on June 27, 2001 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 67.
Born in Kealia, Kauai, on December 9, 1933. He was a truck driver.
He is survived by his sister: Alice Carvalho of Anahola and brother David (Yvonne) Lopes of Pennsylvania; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at a graveside service on Friday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at the Kapa’a Public Cemetery.
